Drivers are at the heart of our service

All our drivers are vigorously vetted and held to the highest standards required for the transport and care of your children.

All potential drivers (a.k.a “Zumers”) must have childcare experience and outstanding driving and care records. Applicants must meet the following criteria before more detailed vetting takes place:
Be at least 21 years old
Possess at least 3 years of experience working with children
Possess at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean driving record
Own a 2008 or newer four door car in very good condition
Have a college education and/or experience working in a professional setting
Screened applicants proceed to our phone and in-person interview process which assesses personality, attitude, reactions to situations and sense of purpose. We conduct multiple verifications to ensure each applicant passes these checks:
Address history and Social Security Number validations
National level FBI and Department of Justice background checks
Sex offender records
DMV and driving record validation
TrustLine certification
Referral checks
In-person driving test
The last step in our hiring process is ensuring driver vehicles meet our exacting standards. All Zum vehicles:
Must be a 2008 or newer, four door car in very good condition
Pass a 20 point vehicle inspection
Undergo regular vehicle maintenance and inspections
