Samantha Dowdall, PhD

I invite you to explore a positive path to growth and well-being.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Please call or email me for an individual, couples or family therapy consultation today.

Services Provided
I provide therapeutic services for adults and couples. My experience in counseling and testing spans a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each person's needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

Treatment specializations:

Social Anxiety
Austistic Spectrum Disorders
Work-related issues
Bipolar Disorders
Occupational Counseling and Coaching:

The current economic climate has presented many in our community with the challenge of finding new work, or with making the decision to completely change careers. Supportive counseling, including administration of vocational interests and skills assessments, is offered for both individuals and groups.
Psychological Assessment and Testing:

Sometimes the use of standardized, well-respected neurological and psychological assessments are helpful in determining diagnosis and treatment plans. If you have been referred by your health care professional, I will be happy to consult with him or her to select the appropriate testing procedures.

All testing is done in our office. Please contact our office to discuss your testing needs.

Mental Health Services for U.S. Military Personnel:

As a provider for the non-profit organization, Give an Hour, I offer free counseling services for U.S. military personnel and families affected by the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Please log on to for more information.
