Dr. Nitu Hans, Neuropsychological Assessment & Psychotherapy

Dr. Hans specializes in providing neuropsychological assessments for children and adults.

The neuropsychological evaluations I provide help identify areas of strengths & weaknesses of an individual in order to help with treatment planning, management of symptoms/behaviors and diagnostic clarification. I  works with adults (ages 18-99) and children (ages 6 to 18).

Evaluations focus on assessing for memory functioning,  identifying cognitive functioning in individuals following head injury, stroke, concussions , dementia, capacity, adult autism, psychological evaluations, learning disability evaluations and ADHD evaluations  for adults and children. I have experience with working in school settings and being part of IEP teams .  I help to formulate recommendations that focus on accommodations for the child in the school setting and in standardized test settings.

She also provides individual psychotherapyfor adults

I offer a select number of slots for individual  psychotherapy for treatment of Depression, Chronic Pain, and ADHD . I specializes in South Asian and Women's issues. In therapy, I follow an eclectic approach with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and short term psychodynamic psychotherapy. Typical length of treatment is 12-16 sessions. Long term therapy is also offered.
