Readiness Program - Children’s Therapy Center offers a Sensory-Based Readiness Program specifically for 3 and 4 year old children with Sensory Processing Disorder. While it is not a therapeutic treatment program, it is based on an understanding of sensory-motor processing and development guidelines. The overall goal of the Program is to assist the child’s nervous system with the registration, processing, and functional use of the sensory input that is constantly received by their body/brain throughout the day. Assistance in the area of sensory processing will help build a stronger neurological foundation for the child so that he/she is able to experience success with gross and fine motor skill development, as well as academic readiness and social interactions.
