Dear Friends & Supporters,
We are heartbroken to report we received word that our precious Camp Krem is no longer standing. As of yet, we do not have all the specific details. We are told there is not much left, but still await an official notice from Cal Fire telling us it is safe to return and access the damage. This could take days or weeks. We suspect it will still feel surreal until we are able to see it with our own eyes.
Camping Krem/Camping Unlimited is a non-profit organization providing camping, recreational, educational and respite services to children and adults with Developmental Disabilities through two distinct programs - our Summer Camp and our Year Round Respite Program (YRRP). We have been doing what we love since 1957!
Located on 100 acres in Boulder Creek, Camp Krem’s Summer Program sessions run from early June to late August. Summer sessions are five, 10 and 12 days in length, and offer a range of programs. Main Camp offers a traditional camp program with small groups of campers and counselors sharing rustic cabins. Each day provides opportunities to experience music, dancing, swimming in our solar heated accessible pool, campfires, arts and crafts, sports, hikes and more! Travel Camp offers the experience of camp life on the road, each session taking campers to an amazing state or national park in California and the West, offering time to explore, sight-see and learn the skills of tent camping. Outdoor Adventure Camp is perfect for the active, adventurous and independent camper who loves the outdoors, sleeping in large Tipis and working together as a team with others, located on our property just a short walk down the road from Main Camp and often venturing up to Main Camp to share in the fun!
Our YRRP sessions run from September to May and are either a one-day event in the greater Bay Area community or a weekend sleep-away at Camp Krem. We have something going on almost every weekend of the year.
Camp Krem – Camping Unlimited pride ourselves on nurturing independence, a sense of worth, responsibility and fun, while building lifelong relationships in a safe environment of 1:3 ratio of Counselors to Campers (1:1 supervision is also available, as needed), while providing a much needed respite for families and caregivers.
