California Foundation for Independent Living Centers - CFILC

California Foundation for Independent Living Centers (CFILC) started as a peer support mechanism for executive directors of the fledgling Independent Living Centers in California (ILC) in 1978. We increase access and opportunity for people with disabilities by building the capacity of Independent Living Centers

Programs and Coalitions

We provide a directory to help you locate your local ILC

Our membership advocacy covers an array people we serve on the independent living center level. To assist in focusing on each of the important areas of advocacy, we've created programs to drive those needs:

  • Ability Tools
  • Disability Action Coalition
  • Disability Organizing Network
  • California Assistive Technology Reuse Coalition
  • YO! Disabled & Proud
  • Digital Access Project
