Berkeley Parents Network

Welcome to the Berkeley Parents Network!

Berkeley Parents Network is a non-profit parent-to-parent network for the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to help local parents support each other. Founded in 1993 as a mailing list for student parents at UC Berkeley, BPN has grown to include more than 19,000 subscribers from all over the Bay Area who use BPN to find childcare and schools, classes and camps, recommendations for local services, and to seek advice from other parents. Parents subscribe to BPN for free, and BPN also accepts Community Subscriptions from schools, childcare providers, and other local kid-related services who want to publicize their programs on BPN.

While this is not specifically a special needs organization, their online list of resources include: tutors, therapists, adoption information, etc. and they feature an advice section where parents often post questions looking for special needs information and usually get answers.
