What We Do
Aide support to schools at a low cost
California's budget deficit has led to massive cut-backs in education. Although special education is largely protected by specific mandates through the federal government, BALANCE4kids seeks to support public education by "giving back" to the schools. The opportunity to provide instructional assistants has enabled BALANCE4kids to save the school districts that is currently serves, tens of thousands of dollars annually, because we leave the profit margin in the schools.
We believe it is necessary to support today's public educational budget with the help of individual donations. If you would like to help support your local school districts, please visit our donations page.
Teacher Grant Program
Our children are shaped by the experiences and values that they are taught at home and in school. Teachers work hard while dealing with budget cuts towards classroom supplies and their own salaries. BALANCE understands the struggles that all teachers endure while trying to provide the best education for our children. As an acknowledgement of appreciation for all their hard work, BALANCE has a Teacher Grant Program that teachers can apply for in order to get more financial support towards supplies and other needs of the classroom.
Teachers hold a special place in all of our hearts and if you appreciate teachers' hard work, please visit our donations page.
BALANCE4kids has been fundraising since 1999 and you can see the items that have been purchased over the years by visiting our Teachers Grant page.
If you are a teacher and you would like to apply for the Teacher's Grant Program, please fill out and mail these forms (with your director's signature), by the end of October to Balance4kids, 4500 Soquel Dr., Soquel, CA 95073 .
Club Quest Community Center
The Club Quest Community Center was founded in 2007 for children and young adults aged four to twenty-two. The Club Quest Program is based on the idea that children and young adults with disabilities needed to learn socialization skills involving not only adults, but their peers as well. In October 2007, the Club Quest program was named “Community Resource of the Year" at the San Andreas Regional Center's “Service Above Self’ awards. The community center has activity rooms for experiences such as music, theater, art, cooking, games, and a reading room to promote literacy skills as well as a garden area and animals including two chickens and a rabbit that the children care for.
At Club Quest, we believe that every person, no matter their ability level has a unique gift to share with the world, and Club Quest provides a community in which to cultivate that gift. The Social Center is a place where opportunities for enriched social activities are offered daily. It is through these various activities that we encourage our participants to socialize and express themselves freely. We feel that confidence and creativity blossom when our participants challenge themselves and recognize their inner strengths. Our goal is that our participants will meet acquaintances that lead to life-long friends and start hobbies that lead to life skills as well as future career opportunities. We strive to teach each participant the joy of friends, the pleasures of real work, and the meaning of community.
If you would like to help Club Quest continue empowering children, and providing a supportive environment to grow and thrive, please visit our donations page.

In Home Support to Parents Through our Respite Program
Respite providers work in the home, or in the community, with people under 22 years of age. Respite care is meant to allow the person to maintain their regular routine, while allowing their primary caregivers to get a break from their demanding role.

1. Teacher grant foundation
2. Our Club Quest community center.
BALANCE4kids utilizes 100% of donations collected and moneys raised into these two programs. BALANCE4kids does not retain any fundraising money for administrative costs.
