Support Parent Training

Provide Emotional & Informational support for other families of children who have special needs.

For over 41 years Parents Helping Parents has been providing emotional and informational support to families of children who have special needs most notably by matching parents seeking support with an experienced, trained 'Support Parent'. We are seeking parents who would like to join us as a trained support parent. You will always be contacted with a match before we ask others who haven't attended a training.

Parent Coffee: Children with Challenging Behaviors

Do you have a preschooler or school-aged child with a developmental disability or delays who exhibits activities and actions that challenge you, sometimes beyond what you think you can handle?

If your child is a "charger", a "head butter" and one that never seems to stop moving in unsafe ways for themselves or others, this just may be the parent group for you.

Held during school hours, we hope that this allows you to come and gain acceptance and support with others facing similar challenges.
